What is AOV (average order value)?
AOV is the average amount a customer spends per order: total revenue divided by the number of orders.
Formula
AOV = revenue ÷ ordersHigher AOV gives every ad-driven order more room to cover its acquisition cost. Bundles, free-shipping thresholds and post-purchase offers are the usual levers.
Track AOV by campaign: an ad set with a lower ROAS can still be worth keeping if it brings in larger first orders.
Example
₹4,86,000 of revenue from 391 orders is an AOV of about ₹1,243.
