Google Ads Integration
Connect your Google Ads account to sync search terms, PMax asset performance, and cross-channel profitability metrics directly into Glimmio.
How OAuth & Connection Works
Glimmio uses the official Google OAuth 2.0 flow for web server applications. When you click Connect, you are redirected to Google to authorize the application. Glimmio does not see your password.
After authorization, Glimmio securely stores the encrypted refresh token. You will then select a specific Customer ID (Account) from your MCC or standard Google Ads login to connect to your Glimmio Workspace.
Permissions Required
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords: This is the standard Google Ads API scope. It allows Glimmio to fetch campaign metrics, read search terms, and execute budget or keyword optimizations (only after your explicit approval in the Action Center).
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/datamanager: Uploads your own store's conversion events back to your Google Ads account so campaign reporting reflects what actually sold. Google retired the previous conversion upload method for new integrations.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/content: Read-only Merchant Center access. Surfaces your account status and which products Google disapproved, with the documented fix for each. Glimmio does not edit your Merchant Center settings or product feed.
Signing in with Google requests none of these — only your name and email. Advertising permissions are asked for at the moment you connect an account.
Data Synced
We sync campaign metadata, daily ad group performance, keyword metrics, and search term reports. We never extract personal Google account data (like emails or drive files).
Disconnecting & Data Deletion
To disconnect, navigate to Workspace Settings > Integrations and click Disconnect. This removes our local token. You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account Security page.
